Despite many studies already published on large intelligent surfaces (LIS), there are still some gaps in mathematical models the face of possible scenarios. In this work, we evaluate performance a single-input single-output (SISO) system which an LIS acts as controllable scatterer. We consider that direct link between transmitting and receiving devices is non-existent due to blockage. Quantization phase errors at considered since high precision configuration reflection phases not always feasible. derive exact closed-form expressions for spectral efficiencies, outage probabilities, average symbol error rate (SER) different modulations schemes. assume more comprehensive scenario b bits dedicated adjustment LIS' elements.
